Players will be able to "refill" their bankrolls with an amount determined by the player’s overall ranking when their bank roll falls below the minimum tournament buy in amount. It depends on the game you are playing.

· How does a tournament work?

Online poker tournaments are friendly competitions involving 10 to 1000+ players at one or more tables. All players start playing at the same time with the same amount of chips (called "tournament chips"). In some tournament formats the stakes rise as the game progresses, making it more and more difficult to stay in the game.

Over time in all tournaments, players who lose all their chips-or "bust out"-are removed from the tables until only one person remains. Players are then awarded prize money based on their finishing position within the group.

Disconnects

· Why do I sometimes get a Slow/Interrupted Connection?

A slow connection may be because you are running other internet applications. Your connection may be overloaded.

An interrupted connection can be due to a problem with any of the following, which is why interruptions are harder to determine:

  • Your PC connection (we've had kids and dogs disconnect our players!)

  • Your internet provider (even AOL has had down times), your physical connection (to phone or DSL router)

  • Or at our end: our network provider, or our server.

The most frequent reason for separation from an online game is that your side of the Connection is interrupted, which is why we ask you to check your physical connection and next your ISP before contacting us.

· Disconnects- What happens if the server crashes in the middle of a hand, or tournament?

If our server goes down during a Ring Game or Satellite, all current hands being played are cancelled and players at the tables will have their chips returned to their account.

If a tournament fails, PSO & PokerPages will attempt to restart the tournament within 15 minutes. If the tournament cannot be restarted within 15 minutes the following rules will be applied:

If an event fails and less than 20% of the field has been eliminated, all results from that tournament are void and all buy-ins will be returned. At the discretion of PSO support staff, the event may or may not be rescheduled. If the event is rescheduled the new start time will be within 2 hours of the crash time, and players will have at least 30 minutes to sign up for the event. No one will be automatically entered into the rescheduled event, it is the player's responsibility to join the waiting list.

If 20% or more of the field has been eliminated at the time of tournament failure, each player will be assigned a finishing place according to their chip count at the time of the failure. Chip counts are based on the player's stack at the end of the last complete hand. The prize pool will be divided as evenly as possible among the remaining players. In the event that the prize pool cannot be divided evenly, odd amounts will be given to the players who had higher chip counts. Where the prizepool contains entries to further rounds the top chip counts currently in the qualifying positions at the time of the tournament failure will receive the qualifications. This does not apply to tournaments where less than 20% of the field have been eliminated.

The places determined by chip count will also be used by any ranking or league system that the results of the crashed tournament might count toward.

In both cases we will post up to date status on the software information panel (Login Screen) for you to see.

· What happens to my play-money if I disconnect while I am playing?

It depends on the game you are playing.

TOURNAMENT OR SATELLITE: If playing a Tournament or Satellite and you time out, you will lose the current pot then continue to be anted away until you have no more chips.

RING GAME: If playing a Ring Game and you cannot return in time you are deemed to be all-in for the current amount of chips in the pot. If you have already used your one per day all-in protection, your hand will either be checked or folded if someone bets into them. If you are still not able to reconnect, after ten minutes, you will be removed from the table and your remaining chips will be returned to your account. Some No Limit and Pot Limit ring games may not offer all-in protection at all.

Players who try to use the all-in due to disconnection rule to gain an unfair advantage will have their account terminated.

Please note: refunds are not issued for disconnects, only if the server crashes.
