The WPO has quickly established itself as one of the most successful poker tournaments in the world and is attended by both nationally and internationally renowned poker players. This Tunica Poker Tournament is one of the 13 televised World Poker Tour tournaments held every year in a no-limit, Texas Hold’Em tournament.

WPO Championship No Limit Hold'em Event ( WPT) Final Thu, Jan 27 2005 at 12:00 PM John Stolzmann from Madison, WI won the Championship event at the 6th Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open. John had to beat what may have been the toughest ever WPT final table that included Daniel Negreanu, Scotty Nguyen and Chau Giang. John, a 23 year old Law Student took home $1,465,944 and the title of WPO Champion 2005.
